Review Over HP EliteBook x360 1020 G2 Features

HP introduced its “SureView technology” in 2016, but this is the first laptop I've tested with the feature built in. The technology developed with 3M and comprises a privacy filter to the display; it is activated by clicking the F2 button. When you turn off the SureView feature, it looks like a normal laptop screen. Once you activate the feature, the view turns white, and becomes more opaque as you move beyond to the side, thanks to a light-controlling film built into the screen. Usually, it’s a very cool effect, and as an important one, as long as you keep your expectation realistic. It’s all depends on the information you have on the screen, much of it is still readable from a closer over-the-shoulder view, and it does very little for a viewer seated directly behind you.

On the other hand, there are about 70 degrees of reasonably clear viewing, after which the screen gets changed into white. It's indeed opaque enough, even at closer angles that help to prevent a casual quick look from stealing a password or any other important personal information. The display is little more muted than other alike laptop screens and there is a tighter sweet spot for optimal viewing before the image reduces, even when the filter is off.

On the other hand, it’s a fun and effective trick to turn on the “SureView” feature on with a quick click of the F2 button, and a heck of a lot easier than carrying a detachable privacy filter screen around. Small and solid

Though the EliteBook line has is one of the favorite business/consumer crossover choices. It is designed in a slim and sharp look that can pass for a pre-level version of Apple's 12-inch MacBook, but with more corporate security features, it is comprised of more customization options and better processors.
